Our Testimonials

What they are talking
about Women For Peace.

We have made significant impact around and the beneficiaries testified

Before this sensitization voting and electoral violence, I thought I didn’t have a significant role in politics as a woman. Now I know better I’ve realized that voting is a civic responsibility I must proudly fulfill

Hauwa Saidu Lawan

Women Leader, Abbari Community Damaturu

My understanding of governance has deepened. I now have the confidence to educate other women on why they must step forward and contribute to transforming our communities

Fatima Shehu Daya

Community member, Potiskum LGA

The training on Non Violent Communication (NVC) is like a golden key it can either open or close the doors of peace and conflict. I now have a new lens to approach conflict and violence.

Hasiya Musa

Pawari Community Damaturu

I have seen firsthand the power of communicating non-violently. It has given me new insight into how to approach mediation and reconciliation with respect and empathy.

Yahanasu Musa

Rugar Fulani Community Potiskum

Since women make up the majority of the population, it’s only fair they are given equal opportunity in political leadership. I urge my fellow men to rise up and support women just as other nations have done.

Ibrahim Mai Lemu

Domestic violence has drastically reduced in our community. With establishment and support from women Savings and Loans groups, many women have started small businesses and become less financially dependent on their husbands. This shift has brought more peace into homes now; husbands stay back and converse with their wives, unlike before.
